Among rolling Tuscan hills of vineyards and olive groves, Podere Sant'Alberto overlooks the valley of the river Elsa towards San Gimignano. Located about ten minutes from Monteriggioni in the direction of Castellina in Chianti, this is a farming area with a long history tracing its roots to pre-fourteenth century.

The main house is an elegant yet simple Casa Padronale farmhouse, sitting on top of a raised platform and surrounded by a magnificent curved retaining wall like part of a fortress. From this level, and from inside the house, there is a clear view of the renowned San Gimignano towers.

The ground floor consists of a hall, living room, dining room, kitchen and pantry. The living room and hall have impressive arches and fireplaces. The ground floor rooms have sail-vaulted terracotta ceilings and the large dining room seats 12.

The first floor has three double bedrooms, one twin and three recently upgraded, luxury bathrooms (two with showers and one with the greatest bath in the world!). The rooms on the first floor have exposed beams. There is an additional bedroom with en-suite in a separate annexe next to the barn.

Walk through the many French doors at the ground level for access to the gardens and swimming pool (15 metres x 10 metres). The pool is covered and heated using a state of the art heat pump. With formal gardens, a hand crafted iron pergola, brazier and traditional terracotta pizza oven and BBQ, this a perfect Tuscan house for indoor-outdoor entertaining and relaxing throughout the year.
